PADI - 3 Day Learn to Dive Course Itinerary
Learn to dive in just 3 short days whilst enjoying the beauty of a Great Barrier Reef tropical island. Get out of the city and back to nature, and spend less time learning and more time relaxing. This PADI course enables you to become a certified diver without the early start, without seasickness, without the crowds and without the pressure. With a maximum of 6 students this had to be the friendliest and most personalised course ever.

PLEASE NOTE: Please make your way to the Fitzroy Island departure area "E Berth" Wharf Street Cairns by 8:00 am in readiness for a 8:30 departure. Please do not forget to bring your Travel Voucher or Course Fees, swim ear and a towel. You must obtain TWO PASSPORT PHOTOS AND YOUR MEDICAL CERTIFICATE prior to boarding vessel to Fitzroy Island.

DAY 1 Academic and Pool Training
08:30 A 45 minute transfer direct from Cairns "E Berth" to the sheltered shores of Fitzroy Island.
09:30 Please make your way to Fitzroy Island Reception to check in for your accommodation. You will need to hand in your travel voucher and pay any amounts owing. You will then be asked to check in at the dive shop.
09:45 Meet at the classroom for the start of the PADI Learn to Dive Course.
13:00 Lunch is at your expense, grab a sandwich from the island shop and find a palm tree to sit under.
13:30 A little more theory before this afternoons pool session.
15:30 This afternoon you will be jumping into the resort pool, putting some of the mornings theory into practice.
17:30 Day one is over. Overnight on the Island, rest or enjoy a drink with other guests at the Raging Thunder Beach Bar. Din is at own expense.

DAY 2 Academic and Pool Training
08:00 More classroom and Pool Training.
12:00 Lunch - at own expense.
12:30 Your first Open Water Training Dive in the ocean.
14:30 Your second Training Dive in the ocean.
17:30 End of Day - Overnight on the Island. Back to the Bar.

DAY 3 Diving the Fringing Coral Reefs
08:30 Final theory exam.
10:30 Third Training Dive. This will be the deepest dive of your certification.
12:00 Lunch - at own expense.
14:30 The last Training Dive for your PADI Open Water Certification Course. You are now a CERTIFIED DIVER!!!!!

Now you have some free time, please feel free to utilise any island activity, Kayaking, Fishing, Beach Volleyball, Beach or Boat Dives, Snorkelling, or adding to your tan at "Nudey Beach."

Students departing the island today, please confirm with the island reception your preferred departure time, or advise if you wish to stay longer with us.
