Ride an electric bike through pockets of world heritage listed rainforest areas. There are two types of tours - a 5.5 hour trip in the morning and a 2 hour trip in the afternoon.

Only basic to medium bike skills are required for these short trips as all bikes are electric to ease any hard peddling. If you get tired you can increase the power to allow the bike to do all the work for you.

Hydro Power Station Tour (2 hours):

Starts 2.00pm

Finishes 4.00pm

This tour only requires basic riding skills and is a small group size with a maximum of 7 per group. It starts at Lake Placid located approximately 25 minutes north of Cairns and you will cover approximately 6.8 kilometers over the duration of the tour. It is a steadily climing road through rainforest with views of waterfalls (seasonal) at the base of the Barron Gorge.

The pinnacle of this tour is stopping at the bridge of just prior to the Hydro Electric Power Station (which is not open to the public). From the bridge take stunning photos and learn about the history of the area from your experienced local Australian guide. At the end you have an optional swim in a rainforest waterway known as Stoney Creek. ** See important information below.

Goldsborough Goldfield Trail:

Starts 8.00am

Finishes 1.30pm

This tour requires medium riding skills with slightly more endurance and remains at a maximum of 7 per group. Starting at the Goldsborough campsite located 46kms south of Cairns you ride an unsealed old logging trail within the Wooroonooran National park. Your 16 kilometer round trip travels along parts of the Mulgrave River. View stunning waterways, rainforest and native animals. On the final part of the journey you will view Kearney's Falls and for a lovely end to the trip there is a relaxing lunch at a local historic pub.
